Brethren in
Christ,
Good morning.
I hope you're
all doing good and healthy by the grace of God. As I said in my short note
last month the follow up of the February 2018 seminar kept us so busy, we
were not in town and we couldn't use the internet; but great things are
happening for God’s glory.
As the Gospel
continually touches hearts in many places in Haiti a large harvest is
taking place... several congregations are progressively converted and
accepted to change their false doctrines in a 2 months period. Since then
16 denominational churches are
already converted in Haiti and 4 denominational congregations in the
Dominican Republic (Presbyterian, Baptist, Assembly of God and
Nazarene), then a total of 2,967
of their members are baptized. As a result, many precious souls
have been immersed during and after that event. As usually, 18 students
and graduates, and myself traveled to the countryside to help with
extended bible teachings; 4 of them traveled with me to the Dominican
Republic.
This was the
31st. Annual Seminar for denominational preachers, we visited
churches in Canal Pont Tambour (south of St-Marc), Beudet (east of Haiti),
Desil (l’Artibonite Valley), Grand-Goave (south of Haiti), Belle-Anse
(between Jacmel and the D.R. border), La Romana, Punta-Cana, Las Palmas
and Jimani (Dom. Rep.), Belladere, Soliette, Boucan-Chatte, Oriani,
Anse-a-Pitre, etc… serving and teaching in these former denominational
churches of which 187 preachers have been baptized during the seminar and
9 more during our journeys following the seminar. May all the glory and
honor go to our almighty God.
Sunday April
1st., we’ve had our worship service in the Dominican Republic border at
Jimani once again.
We were
teaching on the Church Organization and the correct attitude during a
service as we usually do during our follow up travels. Serving churches is
our mission. As a global result of this seminar:
196 preachers are being baptized,
20 denominational congregations are converted into the Lord’s Church, and
2,967 church members are baptized and added to the Lord’s Kingdom… We’ve
distributed 100 hard cover Bibles $24 each cost $2,400; and 120 soft cover
Bibles $12 each cost $1,440. Total of Bibles donated 220 and total cost
$3,840… a very special thanks to our brother Bob Patterson and the
Southwest Church of Christ in Oregon for the funding of this Bible
distribution.
We also
express our gratitude and thanks to the Elders, Deacons and members of the
Northeast Church of Christ in Kingsport Tennessee for sending funds to
organize the February 2018 seminar for denominational preachers… A
large group of graduates and some Brothers from the Delmas congregation
will travel again throughout the country in April 20th. 2018 for more
evangelistic efforts and results. To God be the glory!
We continue
to devote ourselves to the nurturing of young assemblies through spiritual
education. Praise God for a group of committed staff and volunteers
without which we would not be able to serve so many local congregations.
Please pray that God will increase our impact in these communities.
A great
celebration on September 16 of 2018 will mark the 30th. Anniversary of
this ministry, you are all invited to participate with us and offer your
encouraging words; either in that occasion or during our preachers retreat
on November 1st., 2nd. and the 3rd. of 2018.
