‘’Training young men and women to make a difference by
preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Haiti’’
“To all our
contributors and on behalf of the Mission South Haiti, we want to give you
a heartfelt thank you. Your monthly or one-time financial supports
have made a difference in young men and women of the Delmas Institute for
Biblical Studies, making their training possible.
Through them you are spiritually changing thousands of
lives and spreading the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in
Haiti, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe and
many other places of the world. Once again, we hope that you realize
the great sense of fellowship you have in this work!”
VISION,
MISSION, & RESOLUTIONS of mission south haiti:
● VISION
As an
organism following Jesus Christ, Mission South Haiti exists to bring life
transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. We desire to serve
the nation of Haiti and other countries of the Caribbean, and see lives
changed.
● MISSION
Our Mission
is to fulfill our Vision in every endeavor we undertake by successfully
executing on our five core Resolutions.
● RESOLUTIONS
Relational
Proclamation: Intentionally modeling Christ’s love through
relationships.
Evangelistic Saturation: Repeatedly sharing the Gospel message and
baptize in targeted geographies.
Indigenous
Mobilization: Strategically developing national leaders to carry the
vision to the nation.
Holistic
Transformation: Continuously pursuing God’s physical, mental, social,
and spiritual destiny for every man, woman, and child.
Excellent
Implementation: Responsibly utilizing all resources and talents to their
fullest potential for God’s glory.
● Preacher
TRAINING
Mission South
Haiti’s Preacher Training Program provides ongoing biblical training to
hundreds of preachers every three years. By equipping and empowering young
people, denominational preachers, the local churches can best serve their
communities in sustainable ministry. With a network of hundreds of local
churches, we are seeing healthy churches sending missionaries, investing
in local ministry, and working tirelessly to share the gospel and make
disciples in their communities.
Mission South
Haiti’s Preacher Training Center is located at Delmas 43 on the west coast
of Haiti, just east of Port au Prince; and a satellite school program
spreading all over the countryside.
●SUMMER
BIBLE INSTITUTE AT MISSION SOUTH HAITI
Since the
early 2015, more than 300 denominational pastors and church leaders from
around the country have gathered at Mission South Haiti to take part in
seminars leadership development. Three times of the year, it has become a
four day Bible training program.
Every year,
more than 300 church leaders from around the country spend four days in
the month of July studying under the guidance of teachers, missionaries.
This training has enabled students, graduates becoming church planters,
Delmas Institute of Biblical Studies (DIBS) staff, and teachers to
experience transformation and growth through the summer classes.
Supporting
Mission South Haiti is working to foster preachers and healthy churches
by sharing
the gospel and making
disciples.
●MAKING
DISCIPLES
Through our
ministries, Mission South Haiti strives to share
the gospel and make disciples.
This spirit of teaching and training has fostered a movement of more than
800 Haitian leaders who know and understand the Bible and are making
disciples who make disciples so that more people encounter Christ every
day.
Healthy
churches are made up of healthy disciples, and Mission South Haiti’s
graduates are living examples of people who truly understand what it means
to be an active Christ follower. Mission South Haiti leaders are placed by
their peers because of their proven ability to lead well and their
dedication to serving Christ. They understand the needs of the people in
their communities, which makes ministry more effective.
Mission South
Haiti strives to share the Sound Doctrine in every interaction, with the
ultimate goal of life transformation through baptism for every man, woman,
through Jesus Christ. Whether through serving in the villages and
communities, equipping preachers, providing
medical care, training skills, teaching
children, distributing food,
and share the message of God’s love and grace in all we do.
Strategically
developing indigenous leaders is one of Mission South Haiti’s core values.
By equipping local leaders and investing in their spiritual growth, they
are able to confidently carry out the vision of bringing life
transformation to every man, woman, and child. This indigenous leadership
creates a powerful and sustainable ministry that can last for generations
and truly change a country.
● CHURCH
REPAIR
Cost: $3,500
to $10,000 / repair. Examples of these projects include building benches,
building pulpits, repairing doors. Being able to bless the local preachers
with these projects frees them up to serve their people more freely and
focus their attention away from the needs of their own church and towards
the needs of their people. Once you or your local congregation decides to
participate in this project, we will find the exact need from a local
leader that you can help meet.
● ROOF
REPAIR
Cost:
approximately $1,500 to $3,000/roof. Roof repairs are big blessings for
families. Many families have holes in their roofs, which let water in when
it rains. Providing this project blesses that family with a solid roof
over their heads.
● BUILD
A HOME
Cost: $3,500
to $8,600 / home. Many families’ homes were destroyed or damaged during
earthquakes in 2010, 2018 and hurricanes. Some of these families still
live in the damaged homes and many people are still living in blue tents.
Blessing a family with a concrete home gives them security and peace of
mind to be able to thrive.
● BUILD
LATRINES
Cost: $2,250
/ latrine. Latrines are one of the biggest needs for improved public
health in our areas! If a family doesn’t have access to a latrine, they
resort to using open fields and yards which can lead to major health
problems such as cholera. Working with the local preachers, the Mission
South Haiti plan to build latrines in either public places, for churches,
or for individual families.
